Flyer designs for poetry
Last
year I started designing flyers for our poetry slam here in Canberra,
BAD!SLAM!NO!BISCUIT!, as well as for another gig, Word Co-op at the ANU Food Co-op, and for the launch of my book That Place of Infested Roads at the Phoenix Pub.
I’ve
been designing the poetry slam posters for a while now. We were lucky enough to have great
poster designs from Anne Lander for several years for BAD!SLAM!ON!BISCUIT!, but now she is a successful designer living in the United Kingdom. We miss her for more than her designs, but we do miss those.

Artist Paul Summerfield has also been nice enough to design some of our posters, now he’s
busy making art and holding successful exhibitions.
While I’m
not going to reach their level of design and art, I am hopeful that I am improving as I develop posters and flyers to let people know about our poetry
events here in Canberra.
Below are my efforts at flyers from 2013 for BAD!SLAM!NO!BISCUIT!, Word Co-op and the book launch.
